Fresh from the cyber garden: Naughty Gnomes

I bet you didn’t expect this! I have to say, I was very excited when I stumbled on this while perusing on Etsy. You have to check out the one woman show that is PhenomeGnome. These little gnomes are made to order and are sure to make you laugh out loud. It’s hard not to with his little bottom hanging out! I love a gnome who doesn’t take his whimsy to seriously :)
These would make a great gift for any gardener,…with a sense of humor of course!
I hope these made your day as they did mine. Enjoy and don’t forget to check out her other garden sculptures.

I LOVE these disgruntled little guys!

Flower Friday Spotlight

I just fell in love with this company! What a find! The Succulent Perch is a company out of Escondido, California that specializes in succulent rooftop birdhouses. Adorable, whimsy,…pretty much! I accidentally found them while Facebooking {reserve judgement please} and I’m so glad I did.
I’m not sure about you, but I have never seen anything like them. Plus, what a great gift. You would be the talk of the town!
Below are a few more pics,…swoon away :)

Lavender Lemonade Recipe

I know it’s a bit early for spring, and winter really is only getting started, but I’m pretty sick of it already! A few months ago, I decided to make some lavender lemonade for fun, and it turned out pretty amazing if I do say so myself!
This is more of a spring-y, summer drink, but why not, right?! Add a bit of vodka, and a martini glass for the adult bevy version :)
Enjoy!
YOU WILL NEED:
1 can of lemonade concentrate {this is the lazy version}
Loose dried lavender
1 small lemon {garnish}
Tea ball or tea steeper {I have a Brewt, and it’s amazing and easy}
—————————————————————————————
1. In a container or carafe, pour thawed out lemonade concentrate.
2. Add water. The instructions will usually say 4 cans of water. Only do 3 for now.
3. The 4th and final can of water you want to have boiled or heated in a microwave until hot. {do not put can on hot stove or in microwave}
4. Once boiled, add the tea leaves to your tea ball or if you have something similar to the Brewt. Don’t go crazy with the lavender tea. For a small tea ball, you can probably fill it up half to completely full. With the Brewt, just enough to lightly cover the bottom screen. *To much lavender gives a very soapy taste, this is what you don’t want.
5. Steep leaves for 3 minutes. Anything over, may give that soapy taste.
6. Once steeped, add that last cup, now with lavender, in the container.
7. Stir and refrigerate.
8. Cut lemon into this wheels and use as a garnish over ice :)

Enjoy! I hope this wasn’t confusing. Email me if you have questions
